We are looking for enthusiastic Telecom engineers to join the team at skeyes, the leading player in aviation.
A Telecom engineer at skeyes is responsible for the proper functioning of the radio and telecom communication systems. These systems are crucial because they enable continuous communication between pilots and air traffic controllers.
Safety is our priority and we continuously strive to maintain the highest standards in aviation and to guarantee the safety and efficiency of air traffic at the various airports in Belgium.
What do you do as our Telecom engineer?
After a theoretical course and on-the-job training at skeyes you will receive a certificate and you will perform the following tasks independently:
- You are responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of all our radio and telecom communication systems with the necessary recording and playback options.
- When a specialised technician from your Telecom Team reports a (technical) problem, you investigate the situation and come up with improvement points and solutions.
- You define technical specifications and implement and document hardware and software changes to Voice equipment. You archive this information in maintenance and technical reports.
- With your knowledge as a Telecom engineer, you contribute to the development, installation and testing of new systems.
- Your professional expertise guarantees that our systems meet ISO standards and national and international regulations.
- In your position, travelling to other sites both in Belgium and internationally is possible.
- Training colleagues in your area of expertise is also part of your job.
Candidate profile
What makes you the ideal Telecom engineer?
- You hold a master's degree in engineering or industrial sciences, electronics or ICT.
- You are passionate about ICT and electronics. You find your way around the world of TCP/IP networks, VOIP, radio frequencies, digital technologies, and knowledge of Linux is a plus.
- You are the backbone of our systems running non-stop, with the flexibility to provide support outside office hours via a rotation system.
- You communicate fluently in English and also express yourself excellently in Dutch or French, with a solid basic knowledge of the other language.
- As a professional eager to learn, you will continue to grow through continuous training and development.
- With your sharp analytical skills, you are a master at thoroughly dissecting problems and coming up with safe solutions.
- You are a team player.
