Radar System Specialist
We are looking for an enthusiastic Radar System Specialist to join skeyes, the leading player in aviation.

As a Radar System Specialist at skeyes, you are responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of the radar systems that are crucial for aviation safety. You play a key role in maintaining and optimising radar equipment used for aircraft detection and ensuring safe air traffic control. You will report directly to the Head of the Maintenance Specialised Cell.
What do you do as our Radar System Specialist?
- As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for the regular tuning, testing and maintenance of radar and support systems, while also checking their compliance with international aviation standards.
- In case of malfunction(s), you will perform a thorough analysis and repair the systems to ensure their functionality, while also monitoring the radar systems’ performance, using monitoring data to ensure optimal operation and early detection of problems.
- You will contribute to the optimisation of radar equipment and the installation of new systems, and provide technical support within the team.
- You will collaborate with other teams and project managers on projects related to radar installations and upgrades.
- Through internal and external training, you will acquire the technical radar knowledge that will allow you to work on the specific radar systems (ATSEP certification).
- You will participate in a permanence by taking turns to be available after normal working hours in case of radar problems.
Candidate profile
What makes you the ideal Radar System Specialist?
- You have a graduate/bachelor's degree in electronics, ICT or aeronautical engineering, or similar training/work experience.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of electronic systems, as well as ICT operating systems and digital and analogue electronics.
- You have an excellent command of English, a very good knowledge of Dutch or French, with a solid basic knowledge of the other language.
- You hold a driving licence B for accessing the various radar sites and airports.
- As the work sometimes takes place at considerable heights, it is essential that you are not afraid of heights.
- You are strong in problem solving and able to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Flexibility, stress-resistance and eagerness to learn are essential for adapting to new technologies and unforeseen situations.
- Reliability, sense of initiative, and good organisational skills are crucial to perform maintenance activities efficiently and expertly.
