ATS Compliance Officer
What does a skeyes ATS Compliance Officer do?
As our ATS Compliance Officer, your role will be:
To ensure full compliance with all current and future regulations in the national, European and international framework, in the various ATM operational domains, ATS Licensing and ATS and TECH Training Organisation;
To ensure development, monitoring and promotion of overall quality management within the operational domains at skeyes;
To ensure that there is continuous knowledge transfer, appropriate awareness and involvement at skeyes and a structure that facilitates follow-up of all ongoing action plans and demonstrates the status of compliance;
To ensure that air traffic controllers' operational manuals in all operational units are permanently managed and kept up to date
Your main responsibilities will include:
Ensuring that skeyes is compliant with all current and future regulations in the ATM domain, ATS Licensing, ATS and TECH Training Organisation, within the national, international and European framework. This includes among other things that you:
- Translate legislation into practical implementation at skeyes;
- Follow up on current regulations :
- Conduct analyses and studies to ensure that skeyes is compliant with respective regulations;
- Manage the compliance matrix to support the demonstration of compliance with the respective regulations. This in close cooperation with all stakeholders.
- Monitor future regulations. This includes among other things :
- Pro-actively share regulatory information with all stakeholders in a structured manner;
- Ensure early anticipation of possible changes by performing impact assessments;
- Make proposals on actions to be taken in case of changes in the regulations with impact on the daily operations / way of working;
- Provide support in the implementation of regulatory changes;
- Offer support and provide advice on regulations at the request of the various services at skeyes.
Providing support in organising audits and contributing to their successful conduct. Also provide support in the development of corrective action plans and discussions with the national regulator (BCAA) and supervisor (BSA-ANS) and other fora (e.g. Eurocontrol, EASA).
Ensuring the development, monitoring and promotion of overall quality management within the operational and technical domains at skeyes. This includes among other things that you:
- Ensure processes are correctly described and monitored in close cooperation with process owners;
- Follow up and support internal audits with the aim of monitoring compliance with the ISO-9001 standard, evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes and identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement as well as further following up on the findings of these audits in close cooperation with the relevant responsible person;
- Act as point of contact for overall quality management and provide support to managers, process owners, internal auditors and monitoring managers.
Managing the operational manuals for the ATS staff in close cooperation with the OPS Publications Specialist. This includes among other things that you:
- Coordinate changes to the manuals with ATS management members and the respective document authors responsible for publication content;
- Adapt and publish the operational manuals for the ATS staff;
- Ensure that the manuals are made available to the Belgian Supervisory Authority;
- Strive for continuous improvement of the manuals in terms of form, content and distribution method and make proposals in this regard to the management of the COO department.
Candidate profile
What makes you the perfect ATS Compliance Officer ?
- You hold at least a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as law or an aviation-related orientation.
- You are a driven and proactive professional with strong analytical skills and excellent organisational skills.
- You have several years of working experience in the compliance domain or reading and analysing regulations.
- You can coordinate with various stakeholders and follow up on projects with an eye for detail and deadlines.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and can explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- You are fluent in English, and knowledge of Dutch or French is an added advantage.
- The administrative side of the job does not scare you off and you always work meticulously. By nature, you always keep aspects such as traceability and compliance in mind.
- Knowledge of the quality system is a plus.
- Affinity with the aviation sector is a plus.
