ATM Software Projects Engineer
For the benefit of the internally developed ATM software projects, provide support in the areas of software management techniques, quality and safety, test and validation, integration, implementation and after-care, user support.
What does a skeyes ATM Software Projects Engineer do?
Apply software engineering management techniques to planned and ongoing ATM software projects and watch over their quality and safety. This includes among other things:
- Analysing the requests and operational needs of ATS management and other users;
- Managing the Request for Changes, Trouble Reports, versions and configuration changes and performing backup;
- Performing data analysis, simulation and replay functions, technical and operational statistics;
- Exercising quality control over the developed software products and their documentation at all levels, in the framework of ISO9001.
Be responsible for organising and conducting the software product technical tests and operational validation tests. This includes among other things:
- Organising and performing testing procedures;
- Carrying out the tests on newly purchased hardware and communication materials;
- Drafting, together with operational users, a validation plan and the validation procedures, and organising the implementation and preparing the reports with the results.
Ensure the preparation and integration of the internally developed ATM software products into their hardware environment, and take responsibility for the coordination and execution of operational commissioning. This includes among other things:
- Ensuring the integration of the software product into the existing or newly purchased hardware architecture;
- Together with the operational users and with the Expert, proposing an implementation plan;
- Drafting the documentation (maintenance manuals) for the maintenance services;
- Transferring any newly acquiered hardware and communication materials to the departments responsible for further maintenance;
- Advising on the possibilities of further evolution.
Support users of the ATM software product. This includes among other things:
- Acting as point of contact with operational and technical ATM users;
- Drafting the documentation (user's guides) for the operational users;
- Providing assistance for the training of operational users;
- Organising and conducting training and refresher sessions for the technical maintenance services.
Be in charge of general technical/administrative support. This includes among other things:
- Drafting minutes of meetings and performing staff administration;
- Drafting specifications for the purchase of hardware, communication materials and off-the-shelf software development products, and applying purchasing procedures;
- Updating the inventory of materials in use by the department.
Candidate profile
What makes you the perfect ATM Software Projects Engineer?
- You preferably have a master's degree with an interest in IT. Experience is not required, we provide extensive in-house training.
- You have an interest in software testing and validation, or working in a software development environment.
- Your fluent pen and critical mindset take our technical and user documentation to the next level.
- Do you have knowledge of scripting tools such as PERL, PYTHON or Shellscript? You can definitely put these to use with us.
- In addition, knowledge of Linux operating systems and/or ITIL is definitely a plus.
- Your talent for planning and organising ensures that documents are reviewed and adapted in a timely manner so that all documentation and our database remain up-to-date.
- You can work autonomously, but you are also a true partner for your colleagues and internal customers.
- Your sharp analyses enable you to make connections, formulate requirements and discover the cause of problems.
- English is no problem for you, and you can also work in French.
